What was posted

I was threatened with multiple negative reviews by a dissatisfied patient. She actually had a very good cosmetic outcome in line with the stated and agreed upon goals. She threatened to leave reviews on all online sites if we did not provide her a refund.

What actually happened

Verbatim from her extortion email: Dr. [redacted] knows without doubt that my breasts are much larger than we agreed on and should not hang as low as they do. That we agreed on my breasts being made a much smaller size and being lifted. And that NO woman would pay to have these giant wide droopy old lady breasts. No woman! My breast surgery was so bad and upsetting that I didn't even mention my disappointment with the loose skin still hanging on my arms. But, when I go to a new surgeon, I will have the doctor redo the entire surgery to reduce my breasts more than 2cup sizes and lift them up like Dr. [redacted] said he would, but failed to do, and tighten up the skin on my arms. It will cost me much more then the 50% refund I am asking for. I am really trying to quietly part ways here. I saw that there is already a very bad review of Dr. [redacted] work online for a tummy tuck that he just did in August 2025, just a few weeks before my surgery, on Realself.com. Adding more bad reviews on YELP, Instagram, Facebook, Realself, Google, etc.... won't look good for him or your practice. I also see that there are bad reviews about Dr. [redacted] and Dr. [redacted] for botched eye surgery + out there as well for [redacted]. And some bad reviews about aesthetician practices as well. Maybe two patients that had botched surgeries for the same doctor at the same surgery center should legally band together against the doctor and the surgery center? I'm not going to ask again for a 50% refund of my money back so I can use it to partially pay for a repair surgery somewhere else!. I am attempting to cordially and quietly part ways with Dr. [redacted] and [redacted]. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops. I'm the one that was wronged. If this office does not want to quietly and cordially part ways with me, then I guess it will be noisy and loud, which will be a fight for MUCH more than a 50% refund because this botched surgery is negatively affecting me physically, mentally, and financially.

Impact

This was extremely emotionally distressing for myself. It was stressful for the multiple staff members who had to deal with her. It lowered my reputation. I had no ability whatsoever to counter her statements. There was no recourse whatsoever. I refuse to pay extortion payments so my reputation will suffer online because I cannot defend myself.

Steps taken

We tried to offer her evaluation by one of my partners. I encouraged her to see another surgeon to get their opinion rather than relying solely upon her own. She refused. It is too distressing for me to go online and read any of my reviews.
