An insider's grievance disguised as a warning about my office
This account was submitted by a healthcare provider and de-identified before publication. Details that could identify a patient or practice have been removed, and it is shared with the provider’s consent.
A review appeared within a week of an employee's departure, describing "how the office really operates" and citing our internal scheduling practices, supply ordering, and staffing patterns that no patient would ever observe.
It was framed as a safety warning to the public, when it was really the residue of a workplace disagreement, and I could not publicly explain the departure without airing a confidential personnel matter. The most corrosive part was how credible the review seemed to outsiders precisely because it contained accurate sounding operational detail.
My staff, who are conscientious and hardworking, felt personally maligned, because the post essentially accused them of running an unsafe office. Allergy care depends on long term trust, and it is disheartening to have that trust chipped at by an insider grievance dressed as patient concern.
I reported it to Vitals as content from a non-patient with clear inside operational knowledge, and after the standard wait I heard nothing and it stayed up.
