A departing contractor's complaint, disguised as a danger to patients

What was posted

A review titled something like "how things really run here" appeared within days of a contractor leaving on bad terms, and it referenced our scheduling software, our billing routines, and back office details that no patient would ever encounter.

What actually happened

It was carefully framed to make ordinary internal friction sound like a danger to patients, which was simply not true. I could not publicly explain the departure without airing a personnel matter that is nobody else's business.

Impact

My team took it hard, because they are the ones who keep that office running with care, and the post essentially accused them of negligence. The people hurt most by it were the ones who had done nothing wrong.

Steps taken

I flagged it to Yelp as content from a non-patient with inside operational knowledge, and after the usual wait I received no response and no removal. What frustrated me was how convincing the review looked to an outsider, precisely because it contained real sounding operational detail.
