Free Repairs, Free Night Guard, Still a One-Star Review

What was posted

Patient complained that we would “only honor a warranty for 5 years if he was a patient”. He further stated that our work was subpar and that he wasn’t ever happy. Stated that we were taking advantage of him with bad dentistry while charging a lot

What actually happened

Patient had veneers done on 7-10 THIRTEEN YEARS prior to one coming off. We put it back no charge and also made him a night guard no charge with instructions to wear it every single night. After an additional 4 years went by he had one break and when we told him it would be full fee to start it over he left a 1-star review under a different name

Impact

While we get MANY 5-star reviews, this one really stuck with all of us. He’s responded to other patients great reviews and repeated his nonsense

Steps taken

I called him and asked what we could do (once he updated the review to his actual name) to resolve this. He just wanted me to redo his veneer no charge. I told him that since it had been 17 years after being done we wouldn’t do that. He then filed a complaint with DOH which went nowhere
