What was posted

Patient posted my picture on instagram with hate symbols predominantly anti-semitism drawn all over my face. My picture was taken from hospital website with me in my white coat. Patient used my first and last name in the caption with demon jokes and discussed their experience negatively while under my care. They also posted on other hospital websites but didn't reference me by name alluded to my hair color.

What actually happened

There was no demonic events during hospitalization.

Impact

I felt afraid to sleep at my house as patient had written about harming me. Security had to escort me to and from my car. The hospital had to hire a lawyer and I had to go to court to get a restraining order. During that initial time, I couldn't work for 3-4 days until the full risk was assessed. My husband was scared. I stopped going on my daily walks out of fear.

Steps taken

Restraining order was granted by the court but posts remained active for quite some time
