A "one size fits all" review that pointed straight at a rival

This account was submitted by a healthcare provider and de-identified before publication. Details that could identify a patient or practice have been removed, and it is shared with the provider’s consent.

What was posted

A review dinged my "limited techniques" and "one size fits all approach," then conspicuously recommended a specific rival rehabilitation clinic by name.

What actually happened

That is not how genuine patient feedback usually reads, and the whole thing had the flavor of an advertisement for the competition rather than an account of a real visit. The care I provide is individualized and thorough, which makes the "one size fits all" line sting all the more.

Impact

In a smaller regional market, one well-placed review that redirects patients meaningfully moves my week to week volume, and I felt it in the schedule. It is a strange kind of powerlessness to lose business to a post whose author you cannot even identify.

Steps taken

I could not prove the source, and Vitals declined to act on suspicion alone, explaining they need evidence a reviewer is not a legitimate patient. I leaned on my referral relationships with local physicians to steady things, since those colleagues know my actual work.
